Other points of interest:
Helmore Crescent was named after Thomas Helmore an estate agent who marketed properties around Laindon in the early 1900s. Although no trace of Helmore Crescent exists today a portion of the then new Laindon 8/9 development corporation housing estate at Durham Road was named Helmores and Helmore Court.
