Herbert Cook, who ran the post office for a time in the early 19th century, produced a series of views.

Edward Gordon Smith (15/06/1857 - 30/05/1906) released 6 postcards from the Basildon area, 2 of which were taken in Pitsea in the early 1900s. The other 4 were from Vange.
