The date today is Saturday, April 27, 2024
1965Ford Tractor Plant in Cranes Farm Road, Basildon officially opened. The first production models to be assembled are the Ford 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 series from the all new 6x range of tractors. The plant was completed in February the previous year but tractor production did not begin until much later in 1964.
