Riverview Centre
The Riverview sub centre was built
in the 1970s to replace the shops in the High Road. Martin's the Newsagent were one of the first traders to occupy the new units
which were completed in 1978. Below are some of the shops past and present to have occupied
the units. |

Marsh View Court
The small neighbourhood centre
at Marsh View Court were the first new shops to open since the Paynters Hill and Ramsay Stores

1) The development corporation had
considered replacing the Barge public house during the early stages of planning for a new neighbourhood centre to serve the
