Laindon High Road School James Hornsby High School		Secondary School Secondary School A caretakers house called School House was built within the school grounds in the early 1970s which survived to the 2007 demolition. British Legion Hall Laindon War Memorial		Hall The Temple of Light Christian Spiritualist Church held services here for approximately 27 years to April 1973 when their own church, built in Bedford Road, Laindon opened. They continued to use the hall for jumble sales until 1975. Also the original site of the Laindon war memorial from 09/1935 to the 1970s. Other points of interest:

1) In the 1950s Roberts Road was extended to form a junction with High Road.

2) Various properties were demolished in the 1950s/60s where then new housing, in the form of Compton Walk and Archibald Terrace now stand.

3) In the late 1970s a small industrial estate was constructed (now called Laindon North Business Park) and to allow access a new road, Hemmells, was built partially over Archer Road where it joined High Road. Archer Road still remains and is now accessed from Hemmells.

4) In the 2000s a new residential road, School Avenue, was built off High Road directly through the site of the former High Road senior school.
