Comments: Dry Street post office and general stores seen in the 1970s. Once a public house called the Red Cow, the shop also served as an off licence until around 1930. Former Licencee of the Five Bells, Vange, Mr. T. Chapel ran the stores from 1931 to 1954. It closed in the 1980s and is now a private residence.

Comments: Formerly residential, this view of Bristow Road and Bristow Close was taken after the last properties were demolished. Telegraph poles can still be seen as can the footpath that ran to Beatrice Road and Berry Lane. The area was completely redeveloped in the late 1980s when the Mandeville Way road and roundabout was completed.
