The construction of the Craylands estate began in the late 1960s and was
completed in the early 1970s. Above the shops were seven maisonettes.
From around 1970 a doctors' surgery* was established at No. 16.
The shops have now been demolished during the regeneration of the Craylands housing estate. New shops have been
provided off Craylands, which opened around 2018.
