A farm in Good Easter, Essex, in the Dunmow Hundred. This farm was under the control of Robert Passelewes in 1236 and there are still folk of similar names in the village.

Ricolax, or Ricula was the wife of Sledda (587? - c. 604), the sixth century King of Essex and she was of the Rikelinges, the people who lived where the village of Rickling stands today in the Uttlesford Hundred.

Swinbournes were the old Isinglass manufacturers at Coggeshall. Isinglass is a firm, whitish substance from the air-bladders of fresh water fish used in a variety of things including: cookery, beer making and glue.
Tanswell Avenue

Named after the Labour councillor Harry Tanswell who lived at 8 King Edward Terrace, Laindon and represented Ward No.6 Burstead/Laindon. He was first elected in 1948 becoming chairman of Billericay Urban Distrist Council from 1953-55 and again in 1958/9 by which time the council had become Basildon U.D.C.

Tilney Turn is a field enclosed by a round sweep of the River Pant at Shalford in the Hinckford Hundred. Appropriate for the street for which it is proposed which is one continuous turn.
Weavers*

This is the name of a field, part of Bowers Hall, Rivenhall. It probably has reference to the settlement of weavers from the Low Countries in that part of Essex, i.e. in the neighbourhood of Witham, Coggeshall and Braintree.
Wendene*
Vange
From the old English word "wene" meaning beautiful. The winding valley in which WendensAmbe lies in the Uttlesford Hundred is thus named locally.
